I am Kyara Murry. I am contacting you to share some exciting news! I have been selected as MISS BLACK TEXAS USA. I am proud to announce that I will honorably represent Texas in the Nation Miss Black USA pageant held in August 2022, in Washington D.C.
I, Kyara Murry, am the Co-Founder and CEO, Legally Black; and Co-Founder of Select Three consulting. I was born and raised in Janesville Wisconsin. I completed my Bachelor’s Degree at Tennessee State University, where I majored in Political Science with a minor in Spanish; then went to Columbia University, where I completed my Masters of Science in Nonprofit Management. Following that I participated in a Certificate of legal studies program at Washington University at St. Louis Law School. Currently, I am a 2021 Juris Doctor graduate of Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where I serve as the current MISS Thurgood Marshall School of Law (TMSL) 2021-2022
Becoming Miss Black USA will be a dream come true and a great asset that will enhance my career as an attorney, advocate, and servant to the Black, Indigenous and People of color (BIPOC) community. More importantly, this will allow me to have a larger platform to continue to reach the youth and young adults and inspire them to dream big, work hard, and believe in themselves to achieve their goals.
This platform will allow me to tactile environmental justice, and the versatile inequities in Environmental and Health. I will continue to serve the community by addressing, understanding and contributing to the resolution of health and environmental disparities in communities of color.
My L.I F.E. conduct; I will Lead the community focusing on transportation, housing, land use, and public health concerns, as well as climate policy as a whole. I will extend my Intellectual skills to engage others in critical study, thought, reflection, and connection with voting, public policy, promoting sustainability, and community outreach. Within this position I will uphold a legacy of my Family and Friends, who have instilled in me the desire and dedication to serve and help others. In order to rise out of poverty and sustain families, I will Execute mission of addressing food justice, economic development by harnessing the local, food good movement, and creating small business and career opportunities for underserved youth of color.
In order to achieve the goal of Miss Black USA, I must conduct an aggressive campaign. For this campaign to be successful it will require strong support from great people like you. For the campaign brochures, signs, advertising, events, community service, and performances will take place. I can’t make this difference alone. I invite you to become a sponsor as I compete for the title of Miss Black USA, and adequately represent as Miss Black Texas USA.
Sponsors play a major role in the success of contestants. Your sponsorship will be used to ensure that my competition necessities are covered such as [entry fee, training, and wardrobe]. Additionally your sponsorship will be used to support my initiatives to serve the community by addressing, understanding and contributing to the resolution of health and environmental disparities in BIPOC.
